Economic responsibility in the region, the creation of work places and trainee places, as well as high innovativeness have always been, in addition to economic success, our aspiration and prerequisite for the success of our company. Because of this, we were nominated for the “Große Preis des Mittelstandes” (Grand Prix of Small and Medium Business), which evaluates and examines small and medium-sized companies of all industries on the basis of these criteria. It counts as one of the most important business prizes in all of Germany, which has been awarded already for the 23rd time by the Leipzig Oskar-Patzelt-Foundation.

With the opening of the organic store and wellness kitchen “Feinsinn” (subtlety), we were able to create 30 new jobs last year – 5 of them are refugees who are now integrated into the Byodo team – and to reach a trainee quota of 22% with a total of 80 employees. These and other aspects take us to the next round. Out of a total of 4,923 companies and institutes all across Germany, Byodo together with 204 other companies was distinguished by the expert panel in Bavaria. We were extremely excited to be at the castle Nymphenburg for the official award ceremony together with the Bavarian State Secretary Dr Gert Bruckner and the former ski jumper Dieter Thoma. It is good to see that our passion for our own employees, the surrounding region, as well as the environment is seen on the whole. We want to continue to move forward doing more of the same!
